MARIGOLD & RYE
50-second breakfast-cafe ad — first real clips, generated from the Blender camera references
5 of 8 shots rendered · ~95 of 350 credits · nothing assembled yet
These came off the grey-clay previz. The camera moves are the ones designed in 3D — the model
was told to follow the reference and ignore its look. Judge the world and any
AI mistakes; timing and the cut come later in the edit.
The hero — atrium crane, 10s, one unbroken move
Starts inside the cafe, travels through the brick
archway and cranes up into the glass-roofed courtyard — chandelier over the fountain, olive
trees, amber arches. This is the 3 Arts Club reference.
The cafe
1 · Opening — window bar clean
6s · sun raking along the empty bar
2 · Through the door clean
6s · push in from the entrance
3 · Hall wide clean
6s · the full loft, guests at breakfast
4 · Bakery counter REDO
6s · the chalk tags are gibberish — regenerating without them
Where it stands
| Shot | State | Note |
| 1 · window bar | done | clean |
| 2 · through door | done | clean |
| 3 · hall wide | done | clean |
| 4 · counter | redo | gibberish chalkboard text (my prompt asked for tags — models can't write) |
| 5 · espresso | pending | Google rate limit — hard stop, clears with time |
| 6 · food macro | pending | page-load timeout on the slow uplink |
| 7 · couple | pending | page-load timeout on the slow uplink |
| 8 · atrium crane | done | the hero, clean |
Two things for your eye
- Room drift between shots. The cafe at the start of the crane reads more
rustic than the loft in the hall wide. Each generation re-invents the room and Flow won't take
a still and a video reference in the same job, so identical wording is my only lever. If it
bothers you, the fix is to cut into the courtyard sooner.
- The counter redo — same shot, no chalk tags. 10 credits.
The grey-clay previz, for comparison
The original 50s block-out. Note this is the earlier
13-shot version; the build was restructured to one continuous shot per generation after the
cafe changed across an internal cut.
